I published components from Project A and am using them in Project B. When I’m in Project B I get an “update components” notification and when I update it reverts to an OLD version of the components.

The same is true for variants. we have an accent variable that was switched from an old color to a new color, and every time I update components in Project B, it reverts to the old color.

EDIT: when I click “go to main component” it goes to the perfectly fine component. if I copy it from there and cmd+shift+R it into Project B, I’ll get the same godforsaken notification that “updates are available” and the updates will revert to the old trash version.

wish someone would click “revert” on the Figma codebase.

literally what even is going on at Figma

should we all mutiny to PenPot?

@jamiegraydesign hm…I think this will need to be looked at more carefully by support. It’s hard for me to tell where the wires are getting crossed based on just the screenshot and your original post. Just to verify: is this happening across all files you work in, or just one particular one?

If it’s just one particular project you’re working on, can you share the file/library where you’re seeing this behavior specifically? If you share edit access to support-share@figma.com, that is the official Figma support alias. Our team will be able to take a look to see if they also run into the version dispute. You won’t be charged for sharing to that alias.

Lmk if you’re able to do that, and I’ll forward you to someone for further help.

I have updated my component and published my library and when my library is updated in other files I am getting this component older version again, any fix available?

Have you found a solution to this? Today this freaking happening to me again

somewhere along that way I was able to resolve this horrid disgusting problem. I’d recommend checking all of your variables to ensure that there are no conflicting variants. Figma makes this such a godforsaken nightmare to try to figure out. They should try hiring some UX designers!

Currently experiencing the same issue. When i dragged the component from the assets lists i get the old version of component. When i copy the component from my component library i get the new version but Figma prompts me to “update” the component to the old version.

Old version on the right tagged as the “updated” version

Hi there,

Thanks for flagging. If you solved any conflicts and it’s still happening, could you reach out directly to the support team with a copy of your file: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?

Please make sure you use the email associated with your Figma account, include links to the file in question, and share access with support-share@figma.com. Don’t worry, inviting us to view your file won’t impact your billing.

Thanks for your patience.

Did find some unused properties and applying those to the correct element fixed the issue

This fixed the issue for me.

Thanks @Mads_Emmertsen2 !
