I use the Magic Mouse as a trackpad. However, sometimes it mistakenly recognizes the touch input as a zoom gesture instead of a screen movement, which is inconvenient.

Anyone have a solution to avoid this problem?

Hi @dnltmdwhd, Thanks for reaching out about this.

I currently don’t have Magic Mouse with me, so I couldn’t replicate the issue you are experiencing. However, after reviewing this Apple support page on using Multi-Touch gestures on your Mac , it appears that Double-tap with one finger to zoom in and back out.

Could you please provide more details about your situation?

  • What kind of gesture did you make that was misunderstood as a Zoom gesture?

  • Is the gesture working as expected in other apps?

Additionally, some troubleshooting steps are mentioned in this post including System Preferences setting and PLIST. You can try these steps to see if there are any changes.

I look forward to hearing from you soon! If any members of our community have additional suggestions or workarounds, please feel free to share.

Thank you once again for reaching out!
