Question

Is there a way to get the length of an embedded video file on the code?

Trying to see if there is a way to get the length of the video embedded in a Figma File?

Cannot seem to find anything of the sort so this is me hoping it is possible.

Hey Diana, you can view and update video fills in the Fill section of the right sidebar. From the Fill section, you can play, preview your video fill and see the length of the video as well.

Thanks for the quick reply! I was wondering if this was possible to do it with code while developing a Figma plugin

Hey there, so I got the response that this is not possible today. Could you share a bit more about what you’re trying to achieve/what scenario you’re trying to unlock by getting the length of a video fill?

I was wondering the same, my use case would be to create an interactive timeline to browse a video in a prototype. Not sure if that would be possible via plugin.
