Hello, This is probably just a small problem and i can easily live with it but im starting to teach the new intern how to use Figma but ive noticed they have UI3 enable for some reason and i dont think i can have access to it just yet. I would prefer to teach using UI 3 since its gonna be default soon enough but right now the fact that there is a difference between our version is causing a bit of confusion when i try to show them where things are supposed to be. is there a way we can all use the same version or is it not up to us?

Hello, so I’m designing an art museum app, and for the checkout page, I want the sections of the page (admissions, time slot, etc) to appear one after the other, but ONLY after the previous section has finished being completed. For example, if a person is selecting how many tickets they want, they would first need to select the correct amount and then click the “done” button. THEN, I want a menu to pop down that allows the user to select a date. How can I separate those two functions so that the date section only appears after the user has select the tickets they want?

Pretty ambiguously worded question, I know. What I mean is: I am designing an app in Figma. Obviously when you use any app, the screen looks different second by second, ish. For instance, when you try to log in with an email, but you mistype your email, a new thing comes up, like a red box around the email box saying “try again,” or whatever. There are many minor things like this every time you use an app. Is the basic approach to make a new frame for every new “thing,” i.e., every time the screen looks different at all? Obviously to an extent only. At this rate, my Figma file will have probably 100+ frames. I’m at 10 frames and my user hasn’t even set up their account yet. How many frames do y’all have on your apps? I hope my question makes sense!

Hello! Please help me to figure out the problem. Autosave doesn’t work both in the web version and in the desktop app. Every time after moving files into a frame or any other actions, I’m warned that the changes have not been saved. Plugins aren’t loaded, there have been situations when I was able to load them, but then the page started to freeze. I’ve tried logging in with and without VPN, both through the browser and through the app, it still doesn’t work. I’ve cleaned the cache and the memory on the PC. I’ve tried to create a new Figma account. I’ve tried to log in through another PC. I’ve also tried to change the browser. Nothing helps. I really look forward to your help in solving this issue.

I created a main component that has two variants: one for desktop and one for mobile. When I pull an instance of that component into a linked file and insert an image into the component in the desktop variant, the image goes away when I toggle to mobile - just reverting back to the mobile component. What I want is for the uploaded image to remain and just to to resize when I toggle between desktop and mobile. How can I do this?

Can someone help me understand why I’m seeing this error when I’m trying to publish something to my community page?! Is it because it utilizes the OS icons from Apple and Microsoft? Because there are literal countless community resources that include these. If this is not the reason why, can someone help me understand? In the past week, I’ve been experiencing an issue with my Figma files. We have a complex Design System with a specific file for icons. Even though the icons are published, I can’t use them in “Swap Instance” because most of them don’t appear. Strangely, they all show up in the sidebar, but they’re not visible in the “Swap Instance” feature.

My activated fonts in FontBase aren’t showing up in Figma. They show up in every other app, though. And if I install them directly, they show up fine. That said, I’d very much prefer continuing to use FontBase. I’m using the most recent desktop app on Windows 11. I’ve tried: Changing my root folder to “C:/FontBase” from FontBase settings Uninstalling and reinstalling both Figma and FontBase Installing the beta build of Figma Any ideas?

Hi FigFam I’m trying to create a master toggle for all the unique toggle in this scenario. I’m currently having difficulties on how I can achieve this. I created two sets of master components for the toggle. One set for the parent toggle which is the “All Toggle” and another set for the child toggle which are just regular toggle with word status underneath it. Can anyone help me how I can arrange the correct variable to achieve this interaction? I included a few screenshots of what my local variables look like and how i created a conditional within my prototype. Hello, I’ve made a list item component that uses a nested photo component inside it to control the size of profile photo displayed. The issue I’m having is when I change the variant of the photo component used inside the master component, everything updates just fine. However, when i make an instance of the master component and choose a different variant of the photo component, the photo component’s dimensions do not update, only some of the radius and stroke widths. I’ve looked to see if there was any restraints such as min/max heights, etc. But I’m not seeing it. I’ve linked the file and a video showing the issue Hoping a new set of eyes can help me out! I cannot find info on this anywhere in Figma’s documentation or by searching online. I’m just trying to find out what it does.

In the existing Figma, when in developer mode, the padding value was visible on hover, but now spacing/smd, spacing/md, etc. are visible even when hovering. Can I change the settings so that the spacing is immediately visible when the mouse is hovered like before?

Hi. How do you select a section of items to export. I know you have to right click and choose ‘group selection’, however how do you highlight a specific section to export?

I am trying to add headers in the table attached below. The problem is the headers are not being left-aligned in the sense that if a header name is long, it goes to the left. The expected behaviour is the long header name should take up the empty space on the right. The header row is still an instance of the “Row Component”. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am struggling to find and download the main Figma app in the App Store. I have MacOS v14 and believe that is updated enough to be accessing the app. Right now I am just using the Beta App, but would love to access the regular app soon too. Any tips or suggestions on this? Let me know, thanks!

Can’t switch to professional with student plan Dear Support, I created an account today and signed up as a student, and my education plan was confirmed. When I checked, it says I got the starter plan, but I needed the professional for my Google Coursera UX design course. I clicked “upgrade to professional” and indicated that I am a student multiple times, but it keeps showing that starter is my current plan. I tried to approach Support, but was redirected by them to the Help Center. Could you please check what is wrong with my access? Thank you in advance, Ekaterina

I’ve a professional account and I’m part of the team as editor. All the team members have the same permission (edit mode) and they can directly edit the projects, except me that I can view files but I must send request. What’s the problem? What should we change to make me editor for all the team’s projects?

I have the latest Figma app version for windows 124.3.2 but the sidebar is different from my team. Why?

When will the floating tool windows feature appear (e.g. the layers panel - which is now limited in width and hides nested layers). Or when will it be possible to work on two screens so that the screen is divided into the working and tools?

Is there any way we can use API Token for authenticating the activity logs API in Figma documentation?. It states that it can only be used for OAuth authentication. Could we use an API Token like other APIs with the scopes instead?

Hello everyone! My team is trying to get an Enterprise plan, we have written to the sales team many times, but have not received a response (it has probably been more than six months). We also tried to try it through support, but they just send them a corporate e-mail and it doesn’t bring any result. Maybe someone has encountered this and knows the solution to the problem and ways to contact the sales team?

We have editor licence for 4 people and the developers have only view access. When new access request is approved it consider it as editor by default. Figma did not ask for any confirmation either to give edit or view only access. Due to which the editor count has increased to 9 and it was billed. when they are removed from editor, it still shows monthly billed users are 5. How to remove the editor count now? we are not able to reduce the editor count now and we have been billed $75 now. Looking forward for a suggestion or recommendation how to remove the user from billing.

Folks I shared the prototype with cannot leave a comment. The field pops up and then just disappears after a few seconds or it moves to another part of the screen.
