I often create straight lines and arrows within my Figma files, however they often disappear, seemingly for no reason. They still appear in the Layers panel and they can be selected within the file, but they are not visible and I can’t make them visible again, no matter what I do. I have to delete them and remake them. Is there any fix for this?

I helped out a teacher with his project but am not allowed to edit anymore. Did anything change? Is it not possible anymore to be also in an EDU Team as a professional plan subscriber?

Hi there, I would like to actually use Figma to do user research, as in come out with user persona and user questions. I also want to use it to do card sorting exercises, and also develop a medium fidelity prototype with a mobile application. So basically I want to take the UX research all the way to the UI design, is this possible with Figma? I am actually quite new to this so appreciate the advice

I can nudge shapes and images left and right, but not up and down. I found this bug/post for Figma but not for FigJam. Arrow keys nudging doesn't work properly Just wondering if it’s possible or if i need to adjust certain preferences?

I’m trying to create a variant for dense mode of a table and I don’t want to have to completely recreate said dense table to add it as a variant of the standard table. I can no longer select 2 things and “create component set.” Does anyone have a workaround for this or know why they removed it?

Hey! Ive never had this problem before, but since today it has started to add numerous amount of line breaks when i copy/paste text from different sources. Ive also noticed that it adds only 2 line breaks when copying from powerpoint or pdf docs. It is getting impossible to work since i have to do a lot of copy/paste activity. Please, help!

how do i turn my account to professional again since it says i am already verified and allowed to use it but my account wont update

Typefaces that I installed with a Font manager (Fontbase) aren’t showing on Figma. This typefaces DO NOT show on either Web (with Figma Font Installer installed) or with the Figma desktop app. I have tried everything, from unistalling and reinstalling the app to deleting all the Figma files in %appdata% and I still can’t get these Typefaces to show. They show in all other software and design apps like Illustrator and MS Word. Anyone else having the same issue?

I looked in the community and found a couple of related posts, but they’re related to accounts/ownership, and since I’m the account owner and I created the file, I’m baffled here. The inspect panel has disappeared from all my files. I’ve created all of them and never had a problem seeing this panel before (I rely heavily on it). I am logged in (as myself), I appear to be able to fully edit the design of the file, set prototype actions, and so forth. Just no inspect window. They keyboard commands to show it do nothing, it’s not in the menus, it’s just gone. ?

After the last update, working with Variants has become almost impossible. When I select the component set, I can see all properties. But when I select an individual component, I only see one property. Also, selecting multiple components to set e.g. size property is also not possible.

I’m currently locked out of my main Figma account because the email linked to it was changed without my knowledge. As a result, I can’t log back in, and all my projects are inaccessible. I reached out to Figma support 2 days ago, but I haven’t heard back. This is starting to impact my work, and I’m really concerned about losing access to my projects. I’m posting this from a different account just to reach out to the community and see if anyone else has dealt with something similar. Has anyone had success in getting this resolved? How long does support usually take to respond in situations like this? Any advice would be appreciated—hoping someone from Figma sees this and can help.

Hi there, is it possible to retrieve the different values for a variable assigned to a text style property? Ie. I have a text style with which i have a variable ‘type-scale-1’ assigned to the font size. This variable has several different values based on the mode selected ie. 48 for desktop, 40 for tablet, 32 for mobile etc. Is it possible to retrieve the variable and its associated values for each mode or does retrieving a text style only ever retrieve the raw value for each text style property for the default mode the file is in?

The new UI3’s CTA hierarchy needs improvement. The library update notification seems to have been unfairly suppressed. The only visual indication of this is a small blue dot on the library icon. When a component is updated in the library file, the only call-to-action (CTA) is a rather inconspicuous “update” button. This button is significant as it not only serves as the next expected action but also indicates the component’s unpublished status. We have this blue “Share” CTA, which is not used that often. We share files occasionally. There are different workflows, but I hardly can imagine one sharing files every 15 min or so. On the other hand, we update and publish components all the time.

I am unable to view the Create component Set in UI3?

I believe this behavior changed for me around May 1. I am using the Figma Desktop App version 116.8.5 on macOS. I have a sinking feeling this is the new expected behavior and will not be considered a bug, but I hope someone has a workaround or the devs reconsider this change. To replicate: Place a shape layer inside a frame, select the shape, and set its vertical and horizontal restraints to “Scale”. Use the alignment controls in the right sidebar or Arrange menu to change the shape’s position relative to its frame. The positioning changes as expected, but it also adjusts the layer’s vertical and horizontal constraints to override the previously set constraint (“Scale”) with new ones (“Right” and “Bottom” in my screenshot). In my opinion, the Align controls should not adjust Constraints settings. They can be used in conjunction, but they should not be tied together intrinsically. A decent workaround for my use case would be the ability to set constraint options with a keyboard shortc

Hello, I have a question. I need to translate some screens of a project I’m working on from ENG to PT using String variables. The issue is that in some components I can assign a String, while in others I can’t. See the example below: In the “Drawer” frame, I can only assign a String to the texts that are detached. On the other hand, in the “Schedule Recordings” frame, I can assign Strings to any text. I tried to follow the instructions here to change the owner of a team: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039481134-Transfer-ownership-of-a-team In step 2 it says there should be a dropdown for team assignment, but there is not. It just says “can edit 1 file” and “no team-level permissions” How do I switch ownership to another member?
