Since last Friday, a few projects have been opening showing old versions of my designs but are saying they are the most current. The only way I can get around this to see the most current version is by getting a shared link in Jira from last week and clicking through from there. Any ideas?

Hi, I’m experiencing an issue with the team I created. I am the team owner and, until now, I was the only member. However, my access suddenly changed to ‘limited access’. As a result, I can no longer access my files and data from this team. Is there a way to recover full access? Has anyone else experienced this issue?

In the old UI I could select preferred Icons to use in a component. In the new UI can’t see how to do this? Can’t even see how I edit a set of preferred icons already set.

Hi there, I am having an issue that my thumbnails are not showing up. The projects are just white boxes on my projects page. I have tried restoring the thumbnail and resetting it multiple times. Any tips?

Figma newbie here… After creating approximately 30-50 detailed screens with the elements (text, animations, graphics, buttons, etc.), I realized they were completely the wrong size. Huge mistake caught too late. My screens were set to 1440x3033 (I mistakenly thought this was the dimension of a large Android phone), and they need to be 360x800 with all the elements scaled proportionately. Can I set a ‘default’ size for my project and have everything resize to match it, or perhaps code/run a script that will do the hard work? Batch resizing/scaling? Otherwise, resizing each detail by hand will cost me quite a bit. Before I dig in, I’d like to see if there’s an easier way. Thank you!

I am student that uses Figma with educational licence. My education plan expired before the course was over. I verified my status again and now I can’t edit my old files. I also can’t paste my work into a team project. What should I do?

When ever I copy components from other files it automatically adds variable mode switch from that component variables. I’m only using local variables and added M3 kit for components. Is there any way to fix this besides detaching all variables from that component then import into the desired file.

Hello! I would love to get support about moving files from an expired account to a new account. I have been using my undergraduate account(gmail) for the edu plan and got a notification it is expired. Now I have started graduate studies, I made a new edu account with my new school email. I still need to use the materials in the previous account, but it is locked and not letting me give the owner access to my new account. Is there any way I can access and edit the files in the previous account?

The following procedure: I go into the Figma app and mirror my project that I have opened in the Chrome browser. It works perfectly, the screen I selected in the browser is mirrored on the iPhone. However, as soon as I switch the iPhone to standby (iPhone screen off) and go back to the Figma app, which remained open, the screen in the app turns black. So I have to leave the screen in the app again and restart the mirroring. Every time from scratch. This is very annoying. Am I using the product incorrectly or do we have a bug here? iPhone XS iOS 15.4.1

On a German MacBook Pro (keyboard setting is German) several shortcuts don’t work. For “zoom to fit” [Shift][1] is documented and works; for “zoom to selection” [Shift][2] is documented but instead toggles “pixel grid hidden/visible” (as [Shift]['] also does). For “Show/hide UI” [Command][ \ ] is documented, while instead [Command][.] does the trick. a) Pls ensure that the help area shows THE shortcuts which indeed do work. b) Pls keep the shortcuts in-sync as far as possible also over different keyboard layouts. (E.g. in German any shortcut w/ [ \ ] will always be harder to reach as just for the backslash three keys have to be held (option shift 7) instead of two on the US keyboard.)

I’ve created a dropdown component with two variants: expanded and unexpanded. When the user clicks the chevron down icon in the unexpanded variant, it switches to the expanded variant, and clicking the chevron up icon switches it back. I want to use this dropdown in multiple places, each with different options. However, when I change the options in any instance, they revert to the original options defined in the component. How can I retain the customized options in each instance while maintaining the expand/collapse functionality? This is the component and these are some of the instances, but after some time, the options get changed to the ones in the original component. I have created a few design systems in Figma for different companies. Some are simple, and some are complex. But till now I can’t understand the concept of design tokens. Every article or video I watch just says jargons like ‘It helps to store design decisions for our brand…’. Figma does have some tokenising elements like colour, typography and effects. But what more can be done? The more I try to learn about it, I’m faced with complicated concepts like token alias, nested tokens, headless system. I can’t fathom these without understanding the basic concept of tokens. Also I understand it helps in themeing somewhat. But how? I even asked ChatGPT for simpler explanation and got this ‘Design tokens are created to ensure consistency across the entire product or product line, making it easier to maintain a consistent design and reduce the amount of time spent on individual design decisions.’ I thought components are there for the same purpose?

I’m trying to create an interaction in Figma where multiple cards can be dragged around the screen, but while I managed to make a single card draggable, I’m having trouble enabling the same functionality for multiple cards simultaneously. any sort of help is appreciated
