Hi, I’ve designed a wire frames in Figma and would like to export it into FigJam to show it layed out as a sitemap. Is there any simple way to do that or am I stuck creating the sitemap manually and referencing the Figma file for direction? Thanks!

Hey everyone, we have a custom solution that pulls our variables directly from Figma into code. It works by identifying each variable through code syntax and distributing it based on the platform (iOS, Android, Web). We encountered an issue where a specific variable appears as a duplicate. The problem is that this repeated variable doesn’t actually exist as a duplicate in Figma—there is only one instance. Is anyone else having trouble adding a creator to a file published in Community? No matter what I type the publish form says “not found.” It’s just @ followed by the handle name, correct? No matter what I type it says “not found.” You’d think “@mike” without the quotes would bring up someone (it does when I type it here), but it doesn’t. My internet is working fine. Oh! I see the problem. This person I was trying to add (not mike) just provided the requirements so I hadn’t added him as an editor.

I’m trying to set up a responsive prototype, and it’s rather glitchy in desktop app. Often, when I click a navigation item, the next page loads smaller, with the previous page apparently visible at full-screen in background. That’s problem #1 Looking at suggestions online, there were a set of steps, found here But, I’m finding there is no “Shortcut” icon, or “properties”… I click on the question mark icon at the bottom right corner of the app, and it shows nothing relevant. Just Help, support, youtube, release notes, legal, feedback, community, contact support and pick a language. I also tried pressing control / shift / ? and nothing happens. I’m on a Mac

I have a nested component system, where I swap out inner components for different content. These inner components have different heights. Every single element in the structure of the components has an Auto-Layout, and they all are set to “Hug” (the height is defined within the innermost-level component). However, when swapping out the content component, its height property is always changed to “Fixed”. I checked every element, and all of them are set to “Hug”. Only once I swap the nested component, “Hug” changes to “Fixed”. It is changed with the swapping of the component, no matter what component I swap in. Manually re-changing the property to “Hug” fixes the issue, and I can from then on swap out the content, and “Hug” works & persists.

Is there any possibility to obtain font files of organization’s shared fonts via plugin API? Is there any plans to provide such feature? This would be useful for a plugin that converts design to project files that can be run in a preview application. This viewer app would run as WASM and have in-memory sandbox file system where we would need to have those font files available.

Hi 🙂 I’m looking for a way to mark an item on screen but play an animation when doing so. Let’s say I want to star an item and remember that no matter what page I’m on that item is starred. I can do that with a variable attached to the show/hide property - great. What I would like to do and don’t know how to do is to play an animation when turning starring on or off e.g. a bounce. Any suggestions on how I could do this? I’ve tried attaching a variable to the component variant but I can’t get it to play through the bounce presumably because the variant is tied to the variable and won’t change.

I have been trying to understand this undo button that shows up when you rename the layers. I thought it would undo the changes in layer naming (it does not), and its position is strangely aligned with the question on the left. Does anyone know what it does? P.S. It doesn’t undo the renaming part; I have tried that multiple times.

Hi Figma Community, I’m trying to upgrade my Figma subscription but I haven’t been able to get in touch with the sales team. I’ve emailed and called multiple times with no luck. I don’t know where to post this, so i try here. I was wondering for a while why my Figma app would say there is a new update but whenever i looked at the release notes website it said the last update was multiple weeks old. Until i realized the website automatically redirects you to the german site (and i guess other languages have the same problem) and without a possibility to tell the site not to do this i had to set my Browser to english just to check out if the release notes where different in english and lo and behold there they were the last 4 updates I could not see as a user generally enjoing websites in my native tounge… So is it to much to ask to get up to date german release notes or at least get a language select on the website so I dont have to jump through hoops just to find out what changes were made to my work utility?

I have an existing Text Style called BodyText that’s applied across multiple components. I’d like to replace BodyText with another Text Style that has identical properties (e.g., font, size, weight, etc.)—my goal is simply to consolidate the old BodyText (and potentially other similar Text Styles) into a single, unified Text Style. Example Scenario: I currently have multiple Text Styles named Body 1, Body 2, and Body 3. They all share the same properties, but I want to replace them with just one BodyText style so that it’s consistent across the entire design. What’s the best way to accomplish this without manually changing each instance?

Hi! I’m having a problem with image resizing inside a frame. The image is set to “fit”, so it keeps it’s aspect ratio when i resize the width of the frame. The problem I’m having is that the image container itself have blank space over and under the image. Therefor if i want other content inside the frame, there will be a lot of blank space between the content and the actual image. Is there any way to resize a frame containing an image without getting the blank space over and under the image?

Lost the Layers Panel in a Figma Slides presentation while in the Slide view. I can see the Layers panel in Grid view, though. I had the Layers panel before in Slide view, but now it’s gone, and I can’t find how to retrieve it (or even how I changed the settings).

I am trying to password protect a prototype but after clicking share, i do not have the option to add a password (following the official Figma instructions). Yes, i am on the professional plan.

We want to store our animated components/illustrations somewhere and I was wondering if there would be a way to do this in Figma and if so what the correct workkflow/method would be. If, we usually have LottieFiles.

When I export my resume as a pdf, everything looks correct. However, when I try to copy and paste the text, many words are misspelled or have random characters in it. This is a big problem for when companies auto read my resume.

I’m trying to replicate 9-slice from unity. I have two frames, one with items to slice and second one with which will slice items. Everything is working like it should, the main problem are gradients. They all work via matrices and I’m not very good with math. All gradients are kept relative to the objects they are located at. But I want to keep the gradient of the object they have sliced. I know Figma is doing it by default when you select “Intersect selection” but it in code intersect only returns geometry difference between two objects and all fills and gradient you have to move yourself. ChatGPT helped me to keep the scale of the gradient, but he couldn’t help me with offset, it’s always is off. Here is my code: It works with horizontals gradient that go from left side of object to right side. But if it’s a little bit rotated or scale is not the same it breaks. Can someone help me?

During export, a group of frames in a Figma PDF file is resized in both height and width. For example, a frame with an original size of 1080x1080 becomes 4500x4500 after export. Even if I export each frame individually as a PNG (where the size is retained as 1080x1080) and then combine them into a single file using other software, I encounter the same issue: the final size becomes 4500x4500. How can I fix this?

I’ve created an auto layout component that includes an accordion menu and a form. There is an “Apply Now” Button in the accordion menu that I would like to scroll to the Job Application Form section on the same page. This doesn’t seem to be working when the component is placed into a frame. Any ideas?

Since last Friday, a few projects have been opening showing old versions of my designs but are saying they are the most current. The only way I can get around this to see the most current version is by getting a shared link in Jira from last week and clicking through from there. Any ideas?
