Why does SMART ANIMATE not animate stroke color?

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know why Figma doesn’t animate strokes/borders? If I have a button which has a stroke, and on HOVER the stroke color changes, Figma will not animate it, instead it will make a weird jumpy transition that look terrible.
