How to turn off zoom to element on selection (Dev mode)

Question

In dev mode if I click an element it is automatically zooming into that element without pressing the “Zoom to selection” shortcut. I don’t like this behaviour but I can’t find an option to turn it off. Below is a screen recording showing the behaviour.

I appreciate you sharing the video, it looks like the tool isn’t behaving the way we’d expect it to.
Could you please submit a bug report for this from here?: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001744374
To ensure the best support for you, kindly include the following information:

Use the email address associated with your Figma account.
Add support-share@figma.com as an Editor to the affected file in the video (this will not impact your billing) and share the file link.
Provide the URL for the screen recording.
