Couldn’t find anything specific to our situation. We currently use Sketch and Invision’s DSM (and they are ending their service), and I want to switch to Figma variables. We want to be able to update Variables and “push” those updates for our dev team to use the latest tokens. Is there a plugin or a way to allow for the designers to update the variable and push that update to developer’s Json or Storybook files?


Thanks in advance! This is the only Invision-specific service that I need to solve within Figma’s ecosystem.

Apologies for the delayed update! I’ve got the response that this is possible.

You can either:




  • Use/build a plugin via the plugin api




  • There are a couple plugins in community that help with importing/exporting variables




  • Use/build a sync engine with our REST API

    We published some examples of how to achieve this
