Hi. I’ve looked for a topic about this but couldn’t find it, so if I’m wrong, let me know.

I have an issue while using dictation on Mac.

If I dictate in sticky notes, as well as text or table, the text will start with a lowercase letter and a space before the first letter.

The second sentence in the pic shows how I think it could be better, IMHO, with the first letter uppercase and without the space.

Curiously, if I dictate in a Section title, everything goes smoothly.

I dictate only in Italian, the example is in English to explain myself better.

Hi there,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! I’ve replicated the issue in both Figma Design and FigJam. I’ll be sharing this with our internal team for review. While I can’t guarantee a fix, rest assured that any updates will be promptly shared here.

Thank you for the report.

Hi there,

As previously discussed with the internal team, our team has confirmed that this is a longstanding issue related to quality. While we are unable to provide a specific timeline for improvements at this moment, please be assured that enhancing accessibility is a priority for us and is certainly on our agenda for future developments. Additionally, we have observed the following:

  1. Dictation or period insertion at the end of a sentence automatically capitalizes the first letter of the next sentence.

  2. The functionality operates correctly when renaming a page or layer.

  3. The feature works well with Firefox.

I understand that this isn’t the ideal solution, but there are potential workarounds to consider, such as starting with a non-empty text box, navigating to the blank space, and then deleting it.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
