Description of problem: Assigning auto-layout to a component, with the “hug” property and padding, is broken. Component doesn’t resize to the proper size, taking padding into account. In addition, the content inside isn’t “sticky” to the autolayout like it should be, thus you can drag it manually wherever you want, and it doesn’t snap back into place.
SOLUTION TO TRY
- Select the content frame within the problematic component
- Drag it around (this shouldn’t be possible in auto-layout, but that is part of the bug)
- “Absolute Position” button will have “selected itself”
- Deselect “Absolute Position” button

The issues should resolve themselves (i.e. component will resize properly and content will not be draggable), assuming you have the same problems you’re trying to solve.
