I am new to figma but I want to add strokes to only certain sides of a rectangle. I found the option and explanation on how to use it but that option but I cannot find this option at all. Any ideas where it is?

Most likely your object is not a rectangle or frame, so it’s not possible to add an individual stroke. Perhaps your object is a simple vector shape.

I’ve got the same problem where stroke is not showing up and I have confirmed that it is rectangle. any other reasons this may be happening? It was there and then it disappeared. now i can’t figure out how to get it back. Thanks in advance!
Is it possible that the rectangle’s vector points were at onetime edited? This may explain why you’re not seeing the stroke options. What happens if you create a new rectangle?
I went ahead and made a new one. I just started working on this so not sure what i could have accidently touched in the 2 minutes i was on here 🥴 Was hoping to figure it out so that i didn’t do it again!
