Rectangles not appearing in exported SVG as designed

Clyde_D_Souza

Hi,

I created an object that contains ellipses and rectangles. When I export it as an SVG, it doesn’t export the rectangles as they were designed. Screenshots attached below.

This is what the sample design looks like in Figma:

And this is what it looks like after exporting as SVG (viewed in Chrome browser):

Export as PNG works fine.

Could anyone help with this, please?

Thank you!

Can you share the Figma file link? Have you tried flattening these rectangles to turn them into regular vector objects (cmd/ctrl + e)?

Thanks, @Gleb. Flattening the image did the trick (individually as well as the group of rectangles)!

May I know why did this issue occur and what happened in the background after flattening it? This was just a simple rectangle shape and I wouldn’t have thought of flattening it as a solution. Apologies, newbie here.

Here’s the Figma file, if you’d like to check it out. Will delete the file after a few days.

Thanks!

I have no idea, this definitely seems like a bug, you can report it to Figma support team via the bug report form.
