Mouse Scroll Effect

On scroll interactions are not possible in Figma. You can only use drag + smart animate for that.

Will Figma be adding an on drag up / down/ left / right at any point? This would potentially solve the issue of “scroll” animations at least on mobile.

What do you mean? Drag triggers have been a thing for a couple of years now.

Sorry for the late reply, I’m not on here often. As an example: Lets say I had long scrolling content in an app. If I wanted a bottom nav to hide whenever I “drag” my finger (the equivalent to scroll on desktop) down at any point on the screen, there are currently no tools that allow you to do that within Figma. This is a common interaction in Material Design.

My initial response was in the midst of trying to find a workaround for this type of interaction. While I’ve since found a workaround that works under controlled situations, I can’t use these work arounds in actual usability studies and can not prototype them on mobile because they are on mouse enter and mouse leave.
