Let’s say I have a color styles group like so:

Neutrals / gray-1
Neutrals / gray-2
Neutrals / gray-3
Neutrals / gray-4

And I have a similar group in another file, however the values for each of those gray-x are different.

I would like to basically overwrite on set of styles with another and have all components using the original set update automatically without having to edit a single swatch if that makes sense.

Pretty sure there is no way to do this with the core app (though that would be amazing) but does anyone know of a plugin or perhaps a work-around to achieve this?

To be able to batch it would be awesome, but even doing find-replace for one style at a time would be better than having to actually edit color values.

I’m pretty sure you can do that with Design System Organizer plugin.

Figma

I’d rather Style organizer because it’s free !

Hey there, would you mind elaborating on how this can be accomplished with the Design System Organizer plugin? I messed with it a bit, but wasn’t able to figure out how it could be done.

In my scenario, which I think matches what the OP was talking about, we’re replacing a bunch of color styles in the library for our product with color styles from a company-wide library. For example, I want to replace blue-local with blue-global from a different library. If I could just swap one style for another, it would spare me needing to go through the library and assign new styles object-by-object.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

I’m pretty sure neither DSO nor Style Organizer can help anymore than Selection colors. I would refrain from using Style Organizer as it has proved to mess with color values (at least in my experience).

I would simply go Page to Page and swap styles using Selection colors.

I’m also looking for this tool.

I’m trying out FRC plugin (Find Replace Colors). https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/806266638862897503/Find-and-Replace-Colors

@Antoine , I didn’t quite understand your suggestion “simply go Page to Page and swap styles using Selection colors.” Can you expand on “using Selection colors” a bit? Do you mean a fully manual process, no automatic finding at all?

Yes, fully manual but actually rather fast. In a page, select all, then swap your color styles from Selection colors, one by one.

If you have more than 100 pages it is long and hart.
