Hello:)

My team and I are currently testing prototype webpages specifically on mobile with remote user testers. The prototypes work fine, but if a user jumps ahead or gets lost, we’d like for them to be able to restart the prototype. Simply hitting the browser refresh just refreshes the current page and not the prototype as a whole. I know this is possible on desktop and in Figma mirror, but we don’t want to ask the testers to download mirror just for testing purposes. Is there a way to do this from the mobile web browser?

Thanks!

I am asking myself the same question. Does anyone know how to restart a prototype in a mobile browser?

Same here. I don’t want to have my clients download the Figma app just to be able to view/navigate the prototype.

Doesn’t appear possible in the same way as the figma app (with the hidden controls under a long press). This is what they say in the Figma article View prototypes on a mobile device; “You can only interact with prototypes on mobile devices using hotspots.”

So one hack I’ve used it creating a restart hotspot. Can be either visible or hidden depending on your need.

They also say “Using the browser back action isn’t supported on mobile devices,” though I’ve been able to get the back button to work to at least nav back one step in whatever direction users came from through the prototype.
