How do you find what type an element is?

I am not sure, but it looks to me like a jpg or png has this icon:
image
Is there a possibility to find out if its png or jpg?

I think if something is a vector the icon seems to try to mimc that vector?

And a css form is only visulaized as a cirlce, right?

I find it very confusing when looking at figma design, to be able to distguish what an object is. It looks like I can download everything as png/pdf/svg and inspect it to see css, eventhough the file may be invalid when downloading it in wrong format or using css…

Is there a legend of the meaning of the icons in Figma? And is there a hidden value that tells you the original file type of the element?
