Hey, can I export some flattened or non-flattened text as an SVG that uses lines instead of paths? I need to be able to use stroke-dashoffset in CSS for animation purposes and I need lines to do that.

You can’t export text as lines because the text usually doesn’t consist only of straight lines, that doesn’t make much sense to me. You can use stroke dash offset in CSS with paths, no need to switch to lines.
