I am seeing many of my images (screenshots and stock images) becoming pixelated/blurry. I bring them in and they look fine, and sometimes, randomly, they will all of a sudden become blurry. They also export this way. In some files the same image looks ok, and when I copy/paste into another they look blurry. Additionally, sometimes the images look fine for me, and not for others. I do not think this is a loading issue because they do not resolve after time.

I saw another post about the same issue and they had no response (paul_middelkoop on Aug 19), can you please help advise?

Yes, want to piggy back on and say I’m getting this in Figjam as well. Paste in a jpg and it’s pixelated. Can’t read medium sized text on a screen capture of a sample webpage, for reference, for instance.

Why is there no Figma support reply on this issue??

I was having the same issue and got it resolved by making the canvas smaller. In my Figjam there were other elements scattered all over the place making the canvas too wide and long. When I trimmed or removed out the extra elements all the images went back to normal.

I’m having a similar issue - copying and pasting within two different files shared w/ the same user. Is there a solve for this?

restarting my computer, reopening and reducing the file size helped!

Having the same issue all the time. Images pasted into Figma from a clipboard become blurry sooner or later. No way to restore image to its original quality. Using ‘Insert big image’ plugin to open and insert 16x16px icons - so painful. Figma is very good with vectors but bitmaps are lacking. Please understand: it is not feasible to redraw everything in figma vectors from scratch. Screenshots and existing bitmap icons are often required for prototyping.

thanks going to try this plug-in - it’s happening again in the same file!

Please fix this issue.

Have same problem

FYI I just downloaded the “Insert Big Image” plugin and now I’m not having any issues uploading large screenshots! So far they are retaining their quality

seems like this is still an issue – I went back to a board with lots of designs and screenshots of other similar design / Ux patterns … now all my screenshots are so blurry and pixelated I can’t even make them out

seems to be no way to get resolution back up on them … that’s a lot of time I spent researching now in the garbage 😭

Chances are, your canvas is really big/you have a LOT of images on your canvas.

Try copy/paste the image you want to export to a new canvas.

This fixed it for me.
