Question

A nested component on-click interaction doesn't change the parent's variant

Yuriy_Balaka

Hi everyone, I hope you can help me with this problem.

I’m trying to make a slideshow where I can switch slides by clicking a button on the slide.

I created a Slides component with two variants, one for each of the two slides. Then I made a button and added a hover variant to it for some animation. I placed these buttons on each slide.

But here’s the issue. When I try to set the button to change the slide variant when clicked, it doesn’t work.

Can any of you help me fix this?

This is a floating Figma bug that occasionally occurs.

Try removing the interaction and adding it again. If that doesn’t help, try creating an interaction by dragging an interaction connector from the + icon on the canvas.

Thank you @tank666, creation of interaction by dragging a plus handle from a button to a different variant works for me. Before that I created invisible rectangles with click action 🙂
