Hello! To make a purchase of the product as a Professional, can it be
given by another person and given to my account? Or is the
Organization plan necessary for this?
The thing is that since I work as a freelancer for a company, the
person who has the credit card to purchase the product is not me, that
other person from the company is the one who would manage the payment
and give me access, but for the Professional plan it’s possible? Or do
we need you to make an Organization plan and give me access? Because
since I am the only designer on the team, there may not be
possibilities to manage the Organization plan. Thank you!

Hey @Paula19, apologies for the delayed response! I’ve seen you’ve already filed a support ticket with the team and received a response.

I am going to share the response here for visibility.

Subscriptions are tied to teams, not individuals. This means that the person in charge can upgrade to the professional plan and grant you access to the team.

They would be listed as the team owner/admin and can manage all billing aspects of it, granting you access. A Professional team admin or owner won’t need a paid full seat on their team if they don’t wish to edit files. Here’s how to set up an unpaid seat for Figma Design, FigJam, or both:

  1. Have an existing owner or admin invite you to the team as an admin
  2. Log into Figma and accept the invitation
  3. Look up your account in the Members tab of the team page
Downgrade your Figma Design and/or FigJam role to “Viewer - restricted”

The professional plan is sufficient to achieve your request. Here’s the Help Center article that goes over the billing model for the professional plan: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360041061034-Manage-billing-on-the-Professional-plan

Feel free to reach out if you still have further questions, happy to help out!
