Question

Does figma auto-detect and send components which are in Assets tab?

A few days ago I saw a few designs in the assets tab. There were different components and they had pages like homepage, waitlist page and others. I am not able to see it now. I probably think it was given by Figma because it appeared out of nowhere in my assets tab. How to get it back?

I remember one frame being named “waitlist”. Below I got a picture

Hi @pikikic927, Thank you for reaching out about the missing assets. I did some research, but unfortunately, I have not been able to find any information regarding Figma pushing assets to each file as you mentioned.

In the Assets panel, you have access to the components you created in the file. If you are on a paid plan, you’ll also have access to the components in enabled libraries.
For more details, you can refer to this link: Name and organize components - Assets panel

If you did not create those assets, you might have encountered them in a duplicated file from the community.
When you click “Open in Figma” on a page of a design file in the Figma community, a copy of the file is added to your drafts. Every file duplicated from the Community will have “(Community)” appended to the file name.
For more information, check out: Duplicate Community files

Would you mind checking the duplicated community file in your drafts to see if you can find those assets in one of those files?
You can access your draft files from the sidebar of the file browser.

I hope this information helps. Please let us know if I overlooked anything.
If anyone in our community has insights or suggestions, please feel free to jump in!

Thanks!
