Component still showing as "modified" in Publish Library dialog even though it has not been modified

I have a component that I updated and then published individually by clicking “Publish changes…” in the properties panel. The component updated without issue, but it still shows up as “modified” when I open the file-level “Publish Library” dialog. At the component level, it no longer shows as having changes to publish. I’m now wondering how many of my components are showing a false-positive…

I have almost the same exact problem, though I didn’t publish components individually.

My Publish Library dialog indicates 9 components were modified. I can publish these changes and return to Publish Library dialog and they remain stuck in there with a “modified” status even though I haven’t touched them.

It’s unclear to me what it is that it thinks is modified about them, and also unclear why they remain there even after publishing. I’ve seen this occur when a component definition has invalid or unused properties but that doesn’t appear to be the case here.
