Something I find myself doing again and again is resizing an element proportionally, and the current implementation of dragging with “K” is slow to work with because I usually have an exact dimension in mind.
There is a plugin called Skale that addresses this pain point but I’d love to see a native integration of this feature!

I just found this by chance. I say YES!
But looking at your ideas one thing comes to mind: there are a few concepts going on here:
1. The existing “constrain proportions” toggle next to the dimensions. Which works like “shift-resize” but when you’re inputting dimensions or percentages in either height or width. Inputting dimensions like this does NOT scale the contents of the object proportionately, which is what this post is about. But it is a useful feature when you want to keep proportions but let the contents react with their respective constraint layouts.
2. The idea of scaling all contents proportionately by hand. This is now possible with the Scale (K) tool, but not via the properties panel when inputting a dimension or percentage. For this, a checkbox like in your ideas I believe should read “Scale contents proportionally” (since the bounding box already WILL scale proportionally).
3. The idea to force elements inside frames to scale themselves proportionally when the parent container is resized. Which is not possible at the moment, as illustrated in this Community file that offers a workaround. And the reason why I’m writing all these is that, by combining the existing “Constrain proportions” functionality with the new idea of the “Scale contents proportionally”, Figma could integrate a default behavior: For objects that have both of these options enabled, the bounding box and contents would scale proportionally when their parent container is resized.
