I use shortcuts to increase/decrease font weights a lot and I regularly find myself pressing the same shortcut expecting to increase/decrease the stroke thickness.
Select any object (except Text) and press ⎇⌘. to increase or ⎇⌘, to decrease the stroke thickness.
I know there is a lot of requests for customizable keyboard shortcuts, but this is something that could be potentially integrated as a low hanging fruit with no breaking changes since it would be to extend an existing shortcut for a new action. In case of Text object the shortcut would be triggering increase/decrease font weight instead of the stroke which is I believe not breaking any habits of existing users.
