Hi! For a prototype I would like to open an element as an overlay and I would like this element to be on top of every others. But inside of a variant, I can only swap an element for an other. Is there a way to open overlay instead? Thanks a lot!

Variant interactive component : While hovering, open overlay
I also discovered this issue as of today. I’m able to add prototype interactions for overlay hovers but they don’t actually function (and they break the click function).
Is there something I’m missing or are overlay hovers not allowed on variants? (And if not, why is the action allowed but not functional?)

New to Figma here. And I immediately stumbled upon this. Very basic behaviour, hope this is just a bug and not a limitation.
