I’m wondering if there’s a way to have text/images/objects that span more than one frame, as is achievable with InDesign. At the moment when I export the multiple frames, objects are only attached to one frame. My aim is to create carousel posts for Instagram with elements that carry on from one frame to another.

I think using the slice tool and exporting the slice would cover your use case.
