Hi there,
When I create Components, add Variants to Properties, etc., it happens that I add a Variant under wrong Property.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find a way to move a ready Variant under another Property (e.g. drag-and-drop or via some edit menu).
Please add such ability.
If anyone has a workaround, please let me know! Thank you.
Hi @DP-SD! I don’t quite understand your proposal. Could you tell us more or show what you want?
Variants have properties and values that you can edit, reorder, and delete in the right sidebar. You can read the help center article: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360056440594-Create-and-use-variants
Thank you, now I understand. You want to move the value of a property to another property.
I’ve edited the title to make it clear.
Yes, you cannot move property values between other properties. But you can edit and add new values.
For example, select the desired Variant on the canvas, then change the property value or add a new property value in the Property panel under Variants.
So please add such feature, to move Variants between Properties.
Btw, I think your title is less clear since Figma uses “Variant” and “Property” and not “Property Value”. See attached screenshot.
A Variant is a component in a set of components on the canvas.
