I haven’t seen any new updates on the topic. It seems like the old approach described here will be in violation of the new sanctions.
For example, Notion has already communicated here that to comply with the US sanctions they will restrict access to their platform for all users in russia.
Please vote for this topic to draw Figma’s attention to this serious matter.
@Celine_Figma Hi Celine! I saw you replied to other topics on behalf of Figma. Sorry to tag you, but I think this is quite an urgent matter, since the US sanctions come into effect tomorrow and it would be a shame if Figma gets penalties for not complying with the sanctions. Is there any update on Figma’s policies regarding users in russia?
It’s awful. A lot of Russian people support the Russian invasion and the deaths of hundreds of Ukrainians every day. I don’t even say that a lot of us think Ukraine is their territory. It’s awful. Is 2024 now 1800…
So there is no reason any soft for people who appreciate war…I hope Figma understands their responsibility.
