Unable to use desktop app; login loop

I’ve messaged support twice over the last 2 weeks, I have yet to receive a response.

I have seen similar issues with getting the desktop app to work but nothing quite like what I am experiencing. I am currently stuck in, what can best be described as, an infinite login loop.

My issue looks like this:

  1. I launch the Figma desktop app (on Windows 10)
  2. App opens but I am greeted with a message that says: ‘Session timed out’ and then a black button that reads: ‘Log in with browser’
  3. I click the button, browser opens
  4. I select my account
  5. The desktop app refreshes and then the same message reappears
  6. Loop continues

I have no idea how to remedy this and I am, honestly, annoyed that after 2 attempts contacting support about this, I’ve received no aid.

Can someone please assist with this? I know that you can use Figma in-browser, and I have been, but I much prefer to use this application in its desktop form.

As the article suggests, if you have unsaved changes in your file, we recommend first trying to open the file in your browser. This will allow you to sync any offline changes, so you don’t lose any data.
