Unable to publish my variables

I’m getting an error that says “Publishing failed:” when I’m attempting to publish a color palette library.

are there any known issues? is this a known problem?

I am experiencing the same issue with publishing, and also accessing published variables within files.

I’ve tried the following so far.

• Restart Figma (did not help)
• Un-publish library (which failed)
• Duplicate library then publish (which failed)

Same problem here. It doesn’t let me publish my library (just added some variables) neither to update it.

I’m freaking out a little here! Same thing is happening, and it blocks all the downstream variables too (my primitive library won’t publish, and my token library is broken too)

same here… was working ok yesterday - but today we get…

Yesterday we had variables (colours) working and testing the feature across our design system with the published collections being used in other Figma files… Today we’re now getting the error ‘An error occurred while retrieving the variable.’ When we try and use a variable colour in another file from the design system… All the colours are just showing as blank / empty palette icons and not displaying their colour and every colour variable gives us the same error… any ideas?

Unfortunately I don’t think it is entirely fixed. I experienced the same issue today, an error that says “Publishing failed:” when I’m attempting to publish update of a color style and typestyle from my library. I have tried looking for Figma updates, restarted Figma, restarted my Mac. Nothing seem to work. I hope you will look into it again.

just got this error today, unpublishing the library which decouples all components is not a viable solution
