I searched for this topic, all solutions fail. I am on a mac. It was working yesterday, nothing change, apart from reboot.

I can edit my files in Chrome, but I get this message when i use the app, my suspicion is there is a problem with the Figma server, but the speed of the response seems to imply a local problem. I tried all the suggestions such as clear cache, turn on and off the hardware acceleration, I removed the app and reinstalled, rebooted. and its not the file size, as I tried to open other designs, and all fail such as the default app that came with Figma.
So either the devs need to have better reporting on what the problem is rather than a blanket message such as we can’t open the file, and also this is odd, since its not a file, it is in the Figma server which is also misleading. Or have a set of checks for common problems such as unable to reach server, try later, to give clues. in the mean time, I am now using the browser, but what is the real solution to this so called Random event?
