When defining tokens with primitives, currently you have to just remember your primitive definitions. It would be nice if we had a subtle little preview while hovering.

I agree, this actually could be really useful for adjusting semantics in the Variable tables. Especially when Sementic values are just being assigned or being changed due to design incompatibility.

I absolute agree. The interface shows the value at fields where variables are applied. So, it’s expected that values should appear in alias selections as well.

100%, this would be super useful. Right now is super hard to wrap your head when you’re doing aliases if you can’t see the actual value of the token.

Desperately needed, especially for multi brand design systems. At the moment I detach the alias just to see the value and link the alias afterwards again. This is so time consuming I even would not call it a workaround 🙂

Hey All, thanks for the feedback!

We’ll pass this onto our variables team team for future consideration.

Very much needed indeed. So far I have to screencap the primitives to have a reference on the canvas while doing the aliases, very frustrating
