Scrolling in overlay frames

I am facing a problem where I could not figure out why I can not scrolling some of frames. I contacted support and they figured out that it is because some frames were just overlays and the feature to scroll on them is not possible. So why not make it possible?

Hi, guys!
It was quite unexpected to find out that the overlay can not be scrolled.
Spending some time resizing the frames and setting prototype’s connections between them, only in Google I’ve managed the lack on this feature) Maybe in the nearest future you’ll be add it to Figma and that’ll be great.

Hi, is it still not working with scroll with in overlay?
@sasha1she did you get any answers?
Kind regards, Anna

Hi All,

Thanks for the interest in scrolling in overlay frames. We’ve merged the topic with another existing feature request. Scrolling in overlay frames is still not possible, but we’ll continue to pass along this feedback to the team and gauge interest from the community with votes.

Hi, I’m trying to add an overlay with scrolling. I know you can’t create an overlay with a scroll, so I just extend the frame. What I’m trying to do is instead of ordering the overlay to close, I route the close to a new identical (and short) frame without the overlay but the smart animation leaves me with the long frame without the overlay.

What can be done so that after closing the overlay I can switch to a new (but identical) frame with a smart animation that will adjust the frame and keep the sequence without the long frame?

thx!

You can have a scroll pane wherever you want, not sure why you say “you can’t create an overlay with a scroll”

Scrolling in overlay frames seems you can’t scroll in an overlay

Any idea if this will be considered anytime soon?

one more year has passed and the scrolling in overlay frames has not yet been implemented,
I don’t get why this is not one of the top priorities.
