Really no way to go back to UI2 for new accounts?

Guys I cannot go back to UI2 from UI3 on my new Figma account. I am missing “go back to previous UI” option on my help menu. I heard that lately created accounts(after 2024 June maybe) are automatically installed as UI3 version, and I guess this is the reason…

Seriously, is there NO way at all to get back to UI2 for new account users?

(+Unfortunately the redesigned UI is quite uncomfortable to use, it severely hinders my productivity.)

Hey @min1, thank you so much for reaching out. I completely understand how frustrating it can be to adapt to a new UI, especially when it feels like it’s slowing you down.

You’re correct—new accounts created after June 2024 are automatically set up with UI3, and unfortunately, only users on paid plans or those who created their accounts before that time can toggle back to UI2. I know this isn’t the ideal answer, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience this is causing.

Regarding your feedback about the new UI feeling uncomfortable and hindering your productivity, I’d love to hear more specific details. Your insights are invaluable, and sharing them would greatly help our team as we’re actively collecting feedback to make improvements.

In the meantime, we have a helpful guide called “Navigating UI3: Figma’s New UI” that breaks down the changes and visually explains where to find key features. I found it really useful when adjusting to the new layout, and I hope it can ease the transition for you as well.

If reverting to UI2 is a must for you, upgrading to the Professional plan would unlock that option. However, I completely understand if this isn’t the direction you want to go. Please know that your feedback is heard and appreciated, and we’re committed to making UI3 as user-friendly as possible.
