Hi!
I need your help. In my company we have multiple Figma files (design projects) within one project. Usually they consist flows.
Do you know a way, tool or a plugin to merge them? Create one huge flow, tree, connect them? And keep them up to date automatically?
These are my thoughts so far:
- Building one file with the whole flow could be possible, just keeping it up to date would be a nightmare
- Create a flow with tiles, titles and links to Figma files in them
Hi there! Thanks for reaching out to the community.
We don’t have this feature natively (to merge/connect multiple different Figma files), I’ve gone ahead to switch your topic as a feature request.
Also, if you may not be aware, we offer a Branching feature that could be quite useful depending on your need. Branches act as “exploratory spaces” where designers can experiment with new ideas in a separate environment, without impacting the main file. Instead of automatically saving changes to the main file, you can work freely in branches and then merge them back when you’re ready.
A few key things to know:
- Branching is available on Organization and Enterprise plans only.
- Branches provide a controlled environment to safely test changes to designs, prototypes, and libraries without modifying the original file.
- Once you’ve made changes in a branch, you can submit it for review. After approval, you can merge those updates back into the main file.
