I’ve created a flides template for my team to use but whenever any of the slides is inserted from the template (or all of the slides at one time) the file freezes up and nothing happens. My team and myself have all been experiencing this issue.
Somethings that I suspect might be causing issues:
- fonts that have to be installed on device
- images
- complex svgs
- animated component from Figma file
- I built it off of the stock “Light slides” by Figma
I’ve gone as far as deleting all the slides and republishing a simple slide with arial text and it still freezes.
I’ve also attempted to copy paste a full slide and that freezes the file.
It does work to copy past the elements from a slide though but not the full slide.
Has anyone had similar issues? Have you found a solution to inserting slides via copy paste or inserting via template?

I’ve got this issue aswell. Really can’t figure out the problem.

I ended up just copy / pasting content (can’t copy past the full slide) in to a new file and made a template from that… NOT fun. Had to re-create text & color styles and apply them where necessary.
Also made a support ticket regarding this.
