Include team name and project names in search results

While our teams and the amount of projects grow, it becomes harder to find and identify the right files on the search page.

I would like to suggest to include the team name and project name in the meta data of the search results. Similar to a bread crumb in google search results.

Similar request, I’d love to be able to filter the results based on the team and also have search scoped to the team when you are already focused on it + search. GitHub does this well:

Yes please. Its very hard to know which teams are associated to what files when searching.

I’m part of an org with hundreds of designers and just as many projects, containing tens of thousands of separate Figma files. ASK ME how easily I’m able to find the file I need when my search - as its only option and no ability to refine - shows me results across the entire company. The answer is “not easily.” This is crazy.

What we need: the ability to search inside a team, or a project.

Thanks @dvaliao for noticing my topic, but I think you’ve merged it with one that’s closed and which has inactive for almost two years. Is that a polite way of saying it wasn’t a good idea?

Hey there, sorry for the confusion!

I appreciate it, thank you! Figma’s poor file organization (it’s wild to me that in 2023 I can’t put something in a subfolder) combined with the inability to refine search (in any way, at all) make organizing and finding things very difficult. Fingers crossed that someone else out there cares. :crossed_fingers:
