Image resized

What is image resized?

Does it have any effect on the image? Before, this information didn’t appear when an image was inserted, but after updating Figma to the UI3 version, it seems to have started appearing every time an image is inserted into Figma.

It is automatic and it always worked like this. You either never noticed or never uploaded images larger than 4096 px.

You can learn more in the help center: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040028034-Add-images-and-videos-to-design-files#h_01HMVMAHT1GQ8QZ44ABHXT5DZQ:~:text=Figma%20downsizes%20images%20with%20a%20width%20or%20height%20larger%20than%204096%20pixels

Your screenshot is cropped, but seems like it have a button learn more, try to click it.

But probably it happen because your images is larger than 4096 px, Figma have a limits and downsizes it proportionally.

If so, it doesn’t relate to update.

The message that appears is just that, I take the image file and play it in Figma to use it, and it shows this message. Only before I updated to the new beta UI3 version, this at least wasn’t so visible, so I never noticed it doing this kind of thing.

It doesn’t harm the image, does it?

It does. Figma scales down large images.

Matheus_Pimentel

But damaging the image?
Because in the previous version of Beta UI3 this didn’t appear, or at least I never noticed it.

I wanted to know if it makes a difference or if there’s a way to remove it?

Is it automatic even though the old version didn’t show it?
