I need to save a file to the cloud

EricBintner

I found “save .fig” but that saves it locally. I do not know how to save a file to the cloud. I am ready to share it but it’s currently “untitled” and there’s no “save” in the menu. Command+S does not attempt to save or add file name. I assume it’s currently saved and autosaves, but I feel like sharing an untitled document looks bad. Also I’m fery annoyed there’s no UI for a basic save, even Google docs lets you know when something is being saved

If you don’t see a broken cloud icon, everything is saved. Since Figma is a multiplayer tool, everything is immediately saved as soon as you make any little change. You can change the name of the file by double clicking it so it’s no longer “untitled”.

Ok yeah finally figured that out. Apparently there’s no hover state when the mouse is over the title so it looks like there’s no UI. When I hover over drafts there’s a hover state and it took me to the cloud. It was just unclear that clicking “Untitled” would rename it.
