Example component - Avatar (part of variant set)

Component description field text
"Use them in any situation where users might need to quickly identify themselves or other users at a glance

Default state for designs should be ‘fallback’ (color+user initials)

Avatar color set can be found under color styles"

(avatar, profile, user profile)

Search terms in bold - avatar (which is also in the name yields results when searched but the others don’t

I am trying to replicate this

5:30 Using component descriptions with search terms for easier to find components

6:45 Component descriptions show up in asset search

Was this resolved? Adding tags, as the original poster mentioned, is not affecting search it seems.

Looking into this further, I think tagging in the description works when it’s done at the component variant group level (think purple dotted line) — not at the nested individual component level. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the response! I’ll test out adding search terms at the variant group level and let you know how it goes.

Experiencing the same thing but it wasn’t fixed by adding the description to the variant set level :( It actually was working until about 2 months ago when it suddenly broke

Also having issues searching within component descriptions as of this morning.

Was working recently. Tried publishing updates and refreshing window

I’m a big dumb.

I was using CTRL + F and searching for component notes instead of searching within the asset panel.

It’d be cool to find those notes using CTRL + F! But yeah this is working just fine for me now lmao
