How to turn off zoom to element on selection (Dev mode)

In dev mode if I click an element it is automatically zooming into that element without pressing the “Zoom to selection” shortcut. I don’t like this behaviour but I can’t find an option to turn it off. Below is a screen recording showing the behaviour.
