Greeting, every one.

I’m new to the Figma, I wanna to ask that how to set default text color. I dont know what happended but new my deault text color is white. I want change to black.

is any one know how to fix it?

Thnaks very much.

( I tried : edit - set default porperties, but is not work…)

Hi Hercule,

I am using Dark theme in Figma. So my artboard/page is also dark (1E1E1E) instead of usual grey (E5E5E5).

Now, when I place a text on artboard, my text defaults to white and if I place it on a white frame which is on dark artboard, the text defaults to black.

So, I think it contextually changes color on where you are placing the Text placeholder.

Hi, Vishal_Ramawat

Thanks for your reply, I’m sorry I didn’t make it clear.

I only met this problem in one page of one file.

when I press T and start to type in, the default color is #FFFFFF.

but on other page or other file, it is #000000.

Thats why I was confused, and asked for help.

updated : I tried to create a new page, it is still a white text default color… I think this is my issues, because other pages and files are created by my colleagues.

I appreciate your reply, hope you have a great day!

I think I have figured it out.

I was typing in a rectangle, That is why my text color is always white.

Now I create a frame instead.
