How to Remove Default Arrows on Lines in FigJam for Mind Maps?

Hi everyone,

After a recent update in FigJam, I’ve noticed that the default setting for lines in mind maps now automatically includes arrows. This wasn’t the case before, and it’s causing some frustration as I prefer using simple, arrow-free lines for my mind maps.

Is there a way to change the default line settings so that arrows aren’t automatically added? I’d like to avoid having to manually remove arrows every time I create a new connection. Any tips or solutions would be really helpful!

It’s the most annoying thing! Driving me mad - why did they put arrows as default for a mind-map. It looks stupid, busy and takes away from the simplicity of it.

I hope they fix it. Arrows are definitely confusing.

Hey @Che3, thanks for flagging this and sorry for the frustration!

I just tested this in FigJam, and as a temporary workaround, once you change a connector line to None to remove the initial arrow, it should already remove the default arrow from all of your subsequent connectors and Mind maps in the same file.

That said, the team confirmed that this is a bug, and they’re proactively working on a fix! We’ll provide an update as soon as it’s launched.

Hi there!

I am an engineer on the FigJam team, sorry for this issue! It was a bug to have the mind-maps default to have arrows, and we have identified and fixed this regression which should be available to you now!
