How to create Gifs as a cover image figma plugin?

Hey there, how does one use a gif or video as the image like in this figma plugin?

On the desktop submission page it shows only jpg or png:

Just upload a GIF file from your drive.

And make sure the dimensions are exactly 1280x960.
