HELP! Why is my design workspace missing elements?

I have looked and search everywhere and haven’t found the answer yet… I’m new to Figma and I’m still learning my way around it. therefore I have been following a lot of tutorial and every single one have a different setup in their design workspace compared to mine. How do I change it, so I have the same setup?
(mine is the white)

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out.

Recently, Figma updated its interface, and there are now two types of UIs in use. The one you see is called UI3, Figma’s redesigned UI. The older, black interface is called UI2. You can see more details about this:

Figma Learn - Help Center

To switch back to the previous UI, Click on the Round button with a “?” on the bottom right
Click that and then select “Go back to previous UI”.
