Boolean Variables Assignable inside component

Prabaharan_CS

To make reusable components with variables, it is better to have Boolean variable inside a component. Kindly add that function in upcoming release

Hey Prabaharan, thanks for sharing this idea. Variables are still very much in beta and we’re definitely going to be improving them as time goes on. Support for boolean variants is definitely something we’re considering. Thanks!

Yes please!! For example, right now I can’t easily show chip / button sepcs with and without icons.

E.G. buttons should have less padding on the side of icon, but only when buttons have an icon, otherwise the full padding. Right now if I apply boolean to icon, inside same component, I can only turn ALL icons off OR turn ALL on.

So I can’t easily show spec states with AND without icons inside same component.

There seems to be an update. now I can’t even assign a variable to a component instance. so sad! And if I copy an instance that has a variable I cant change that variable!!! This is driving me insane! I have heard people started to code their prototypes instead, seems faster. Please help!
