Be able to type ellipsis character on a Mac

Hi, I’m not able to type the ellipsis character on any text as I usually do on my Mac. I usually use ‘cmd+.’ and I get ‘…’ quickly.
I’ve seen this topic discussed in 2021 and there was no solution.
Can it be made a request? It’s really annoying. I know I can resort to type three individual dots, but that is not the proper way, and I refuse to do it.
