I love sections because they easily help organize content, but they become less powerful as compared to a traditional group without the power of auto-layouts.
Adding new content to a section always involves slowly moving everything else around (usually down) and having to always resize it manually. Having the option of toggling on/off something like auto-layouts for sections would really boost productivity!
Same here! Would love to be able to auto-layout sections, as I am constantly copying one screen and pasting it for the next part of a flow. But I had to do all the tedious work of aligning it when I have to resize, move screens around in order of the flow, etc. This would save me a ton of work!
YESSS! But not only in FigJam – I like to organise my frames in Sections or Frames, but for prototyping they can’t be grouped in a frame which means I have to settle with sans-auto-layout Sections. Adding auto layout to Sections would keep my prototyped frames neat within sections, too!
For me the problem is more specific. When I’ve got stickies in a Section and I create a new one, say by hitting cmd-enter from the one I’ve just finished typing, the new sticky always appears to the right. If it’s in a section, it should wrap at the section edge and start a new row.
